Davutoglu calls for international plan of action to end Syrian tragedy

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu underscored on Thursday the need to devise an international action plan to end the humanitarian tragedy in Syria on the eve of the adoption of the presidential statement by the U.N. Security Council.

The statement that was adopted on Thursday by the members of the international council by unanimity calls for ending violence in the Syria.

Davutoglu met his Austrian counterpart in Vienna where he said that in addition to a joint letter a joint plan of action is needed. The FM also said that the Syrian regime is seeking to buy some time.
