Civil society activists headed to a waste sorting plant in the Chouf region in a bid to shed light on the possibility to treat household waste in Lebanon, away from landfills and incinerators.
The activists had started their tour last week where they visited private of state-owned recycling and waste sorting plants located across Mount Lebanon governorate.
