Minister Pharaon laments failure to discuss presidential bid during dialogue session
Tourism Minister Michel Pharaon lamented on Sunday the failure to discuss the presidential elections at the last session of national dialogue, stressing that only dialogue can safeguard the country from collapse.

He also voiced hopes that a new president would be elected during the parliamentary session scheduled to take place on February 8.

He urged to hold talks that expand and include all political powers, mainly that represented by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Pharaon also noted that "the political crisis reflected on the economic sector," stressing that "the dialogue table is only a sedative for pain resulting from presidential vacuum. It prevents damage caused by the blocking of government."

It is worth noting that Minister Pharaon had left Beirut heading to Saudi Arabia to hold discussions with Hariri concerning the presidential elections.
