Majdalani: No counterfeit medication enters Lebanon through official channels

The head of the parliament’s Health Committee MP Atef Majdalini confirmed on Saturday that no counterfeit or spoiled drugs are entering Lebanon through official channels, pointing out a technical committee at the ministry of health keeping an eye on the issue.

Majdalani told Nharkom Said TV show that the parliament’s Health Committee has introduced key modifications especially with regards to the Pharmacy Profession Practice Law.

Majdalani added that the committee has played a key role in the issue of counterfeit and smuggled drugs and has called for the establishment of a committee to control warehouses, pharmacies and dispensaries.
