Lebanese army arrests suspect responsible for 2014 Haret Hreik explsoion

The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Monday Syrian national Nayef Zeineddine, also known as “Abou Malek Qarra,” for being involved in detonating a “Jeep Cherokee” on Haret Hreik back in 2014.

In January 2014, a car bomb attack rocked the Beirut southern suburb region of Haret Hreik, killing at least 5 and wounding dozens. The vehicle was identified as a “Jeep Grand Cherokee” and was rigged with almost 20 kilos of explosives.

The explosion took place near al-Manar television's old building on al-Arid Street in Haret Hreik and hundreds of meters away from the headquarters of Hezbollah’s political bureau.
