Lawyers on strike over delay in appointing head of Higher Judicial Council
Lawyers across Lebanon held a strike on Monday, boycotting the sessions of the Baabda Palace to protest the delay in appointing a head of the Higher Judicial Council.

The lawyers’ move is based on a decision by both Tripoli and Beirut’s Lawyers Syndicates.

The Baabda Palace was void on Monday of lawyers as the attendees were limited to prosecutors, defendants and the witnesses that were personally summoned to the sessions.
