Zahra’s remarks were made during LBCI’s Nharkom Said whereby he blamed some parties of the March 8 alliance for the presidential deadlock.
“If you are serious in supporting the presidential candidacy of MP Michel Aoun, you should prove it,” he added.
Zahra stated that the presidential dossier does not concern the Christians solely and the Muslims are not entitled to impose a presidential candidate as a sole nominee as well.
The lawmaker noted that the LF’s previously announced stance came after the endorsement of Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Frangieh.
On another note, Zahra described LF’s relation with Saudi Arabia as “perfect.”
He concluded by expressing hopes that Hariri would prolong his stay in Lebanon and that a new president would be elected in the parliamentary session, which will be held on March 2.
