REPORT: Marcelino’s murder turns into hashtag
As the family mourns the death of their son Mracelino Zamata, the Lebanese people took to social media to conduct background checks on both the criminals and the victim, turning the tragedy into a hashtag.
 
Between calls for a self-imposed security, to deeming the crime an intentional assault targeting the residents of Ashrafieh, some call considered the incident as an attack against a specific sect.
 
Another social media activist, though stressing that he is against any form of strife, urged all the Christians in Lebanon to always carry a gun.
