Serial sanctuary robbers caught in Zahle

Many robberies of churches, sanctuaries, firms and restaurants have been recently reported in Zahle, the ISF said on Monday. Thanks to intensive investigations, the Zahle police station, in cooperation with the information branch, managed to arrest two Syrian suspects, in the town of Zahle and Tamnine al-Tahta on Saturday, the ISF reported.

The ISF added that during the investigation, both arrested admitted to having recently stolen approximately 800, 000 LBP from a restaurant and having stolen funds from six sanctuaries in Zahle in coordination with another accomplice of Syrian nationality who was later arrested.

The Zahle police station also managed to arrest two Lebanese nationals possessing eleven doses of Rivotril and two grams of heroine. Their vehicle was confiscated after it appeared that it was stolen from Chiyah on the same day.
