Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri called Friday on all the deputies to exercise their constitutional rights and elect a new president, noting that keeping this form of presidential vacuum is considered as a betrayal of the Constitution.
Following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai in Bkerke, Hariri reiterated his commitment to their presidential candidate (in reference to MP Sleiman Frangieh), stressing that democracy must take its course at the Parliament.
