Families of Arsal kidnapped soldiers vow escalatory steps

Nizam Mgheit, brother of abducted soldier Ibrahim Mgheit, said on Saturday that the families of the abducted soldiers in the border town of Arsal will not remain silent, adding that they will take escalatory steps in the near future.

Mgheit also noted that the Lebanese officials are not dealing “seriously” with the case of the abducted soldiers, noting that they don’t know anything about them.

The hostage troops and policemen were captured when jihadists from the Nusra Front and the Islamic State militant groups briefly overran the border town of Arsal last august and engaged in fierce battles with the Lebanese army.
