Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil noted that should the Arab states refuse to understand Lebanon’s stances, then this would pose a real problem, calling on these states to respect the disassociation policy.
In a press conference, the minister said that the statement issued by the cabinet expressed the ministerial statement, adding that the fabricated political outcry has a “cheap goal.”
“The injustice practiced towards Lebanon is the price we pay for consecrating Lebanon’s independent and neutral policy,” he stated, noting that some positions that were launched violated the disassociation policy.
