Lebanon’s environment minister leaves for New York
Environment Minister Mohammad Mashnouq said Tuesday that al-Naameh landfill can still accept waste in order to help resolve the alarming waste management crisis, adding, however, that Lebanon is in need of ‘good landfills’, which are capable of performing a long-term garbage treatment.

Mahsnouq’s remarks came before he left for New York to attend an environment conference organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
