Qatar, Kuwait call on nationals to leave Lebanon

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Beirut called Wednesday on its nationals residing in Lebanon to leave the country, unless they have pressing issues forcing them to stay.

The embassy urged its nationals to exercise caution” in the country and to “avoid “unsafe areas and contact the embassy and coordinate with it at times of need.”

In turn, Qatari Foreign Ministry urged all Qatari nationals to abstain from traveling to Lebanon.

In a statement issued by the ministry, the Arab state called on all nationals residing in Lebanon to leave the country for their safety, noting that they can contact the Qatari embassy in Beirut to provide them with the necessary assistance.
