Jumblatt: Jabal al-Arab should pursue the Druze’s revolutionary path

The head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt renewed his calls for the Druze community living in Jabal al-Arab in Syria to join the ranks of the “Syrian Revolution” and continue the historical revolutionary path of the Druze.

In a letter sent to Montaha al-Atrash on the anniversary marking the death of Sultan Basha al-Atrash Jumblatt express his sympathy with the Syrian people in their struggle for their rightful demands and freedom.

“A family minority has deprived the Syrian people of their basic rights and controlled all aspects of daily living as well as political, economic and social matters”, Jumblatt was quoted as saying.

Jumblatt hoped that a new diversified and democratic Syria will be born soon with the fall of President Assad.
