“We Want Accountability” activists said that the Lebanese government’s plan to resolve the waste crisis holds suspicious aspects, calling for allocating the municipalities funds for decentralized projects.
In a press conference held at Toufic Tabbara Center, the activists noted that the cabinet has been failing to provide an official number to determine the quantity of garbage currently along the streets.
“Why does the government turn a deaf ear to all the proposals presented by specialists?” they asked.
