Expired medicine found in West Bekaa

Boxes of expired medicine were found dumped in West Bekaa on Friday, as Lebanese authorities continue their crackdown on spoiled food items and other unsafe goods.

About 700 small boxes containing a variety of expired medications were discovered by scavengers sifting through a trash container in a small neighborhood, while other boxes were found in the city’s landfill.

Members of the Internal Security Forces were called in and a probe was launched into the incident.
