Nasrallah: The possibility of toppling the regime by force has been dropped

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Friday that the possibility of toppling the regime by force has been dropped.       

“It is now clear, regionally and internationally, that talk of military intervention is over, as is the talk of sending Arab troops to Syria and arming the opposition”.      

In a televised address at the inauguration of “El Sayyida Zaynab complex” in Haret Hreik, Nasrallah said that the political and regional climate showed that calls for the Syrian president to step down are part of the past.

Nasrallah stressed that the Syrian crisis must be solved politically, through dialogue and reform. He called on all the faithful on the Arab, international or regional scenes to provide assistance by striving to stop media incitement and convincing all parties to conduct an honest and serious dialogue.  

Nasrallah called on the Lebanese waiting for the outcome of the Syrian incidents to reassess the situation and not to waste their times with losing bets.

“It has become clear that the direction of these incidents is settled”.  

On the other hand, Nasrallah said that celebrating the “Land Day” is an expression of the devotion to righteousness and to the Palestinian cause. “What was said about Israel wanting to annex new territories from the West Bank is like a mockery of the Arab world and all Arab nations”.       

Nasrallah told all “violators”: We are staying, you will vanish and the future between us is near.
