Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai said Sunday at the Easter Mass held in Bkerke that “the failure to elect a president in the last two years is slowly destroying Lebanon’s internal unity along with its international position."
Rai added that the presidential vacuum makes Lebanon a bulk land open to the settlement of refugees.
“Lebanon refuses the voluntary return of Syrian refugees, just like in the case Palestinian refugees”, he stressed.
