REPORT: MP Fadlallah urges NileSat to go back on its decision
Head of Parliament's Media and Telecommunications Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah said on Monday that the al-Manar TV channel did not commit any illegal violation.

He also urged Egypt and the Egyptian Satellite Company NileSat to go back on their decision to stop the broadcasting of al-Manar TV, saying that such a decision is “political.”

For his part, Minister of Information Ramzi Jreij said that he will seek during the next cabinet’s session to renew the license granted to NileSat in order to reactivate its broadcasting from the northern town of Jouret al-Ballout.

Last week, Egyptian satellite provider Nilesat stopped carrying the Hezbollah-run Al-Manar TV, to its subscribers, accusing it of “provoking sectarian strife.”
