Jumblatt: Official authorities must assume their responsibilities towards Syrian displaced

National Struggle Front leader Walid Jumblatt called on all official parties to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities towards the Syrian displaced and to help them in light of the dire circumstances they are living in.

Jumblatt condemned the attempts of some authorities to accuse the entire region of terrorism.

Following his meeting with a large delegation from Akkar, Jumblatt praised Akkar’s “disadvantaged” residents “whose Arabism had a pioneering role in the support of Arab and national causes, the Palestinian cause and the Cedars Revolution.”
