Berri picks holes in 'slow' government performance
Speaker Nabih Berri criticized on Wednesday the slow performance of the government, stressing the need that it speeds up its work on all levels. He warned that such reluctance would take a toll on the overall current affairs and dossiers laid on-the-table.

He renewed calls to step up work on the level of offshore oil and gas natural resources.

Berri made these remarks during a periodic meeting at Parliament, which discussed an array of affairs in Lebanon and the broader Arab region. Earlier today, the Speaker met with the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Asseri.

The pair reportedly took up most recent political developments. He also met with former General Security Chief, Brigadier General Jamil Sayyed, over the current general situation.
