United Nations-sponsored peace talks to end a year of war in Yemen began in Kuwait on Thursday, live television showed, after delays over alleged truce violations and the agenda of the negotiations.
The talks, bringing together the Iran-allied Houthi group with its General People's Congress party allies and the Saudi-backed government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, were originally scheduled to start on Monday.
