Sleiman urges Rifi to intensify investigations into Maarab shooting

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman held a meeting on Saturday with Justice Minister Shakib Kortbawi, Prosecutor General Judge Said Mirza and Judges Claude Karam and Hatem Madi by whom he was briefed on the course of investigations into the Maarab shooting case.

The meeting highlighted the importance of following up on the issue to avert any breach of security.

During his meeting with ISF Head Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi, Sleiman stressed the importance of intensifying investigations into the Maarab case to determine the identity of the perpetrators.

The president was also briefed by Economy Minister Nicolas Nahhas on developments regarding the issue of power-generating ships.
