Contractual teachers stage demonstration against procrastination

Contractual teachers for primary public schools in the North and Zahle staged a demonstration to protest against procrastination regarding their demands. Teachers are asking for an open contest that will settle once and for all the contracts’ issue.

Teachers called for a quick solution, threatening to start an open strike as of May 2 if their demands are not met. They also asked for a raise of their hourly wage, social security and financial allocations to pay the first and second semester’s dues.
