Loyalty to the Resistance bloc says rejects Salameh’s latest stance

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said on Thursday that the “new targeting of the Resistance and its people by the US administration through the Lebanese banking system is doomed to failure and will not succeed in achieving its objectives.”

The bloc added that the Lebanese government and the Central Bank must be directly involved “in protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and its social and monetary stability.”

The bloc noted after its weekly meeting that the last stance of Central Bank Governor Riyad Salameh "reflects an inclination to give up national sovereignty," adding that the bloc rejects it in its entirety.

The members of the bloc also noted that the sole way to rearrange a stable authority in Lebanon is to draft a new electoral law that gives apt representation for the Lebanese people.
