Byblos shines on the world stage drawing tourists from across the globe

Byblos managed once again to attract tourists from around the world with its old Souk and archeological fronts.

LBCI’s cameras took a tour of the city and its historic souk. Byblos felt like a touristic European city on the Mediterranean coast crowded with visitors from across the globe.

Asked about the reasons behind the presence of these visitors in Byblos, some say they are making a touristic visit given that the city is included in the list of must-see Lebanese sites. Others say that they came to visit some friends who double as tour guides, showing them around some of Lebanon’s most beautiful landmarks.

Despite the economic hardships that Lebanon is facing, Byblos renovated its archeological and historic facades so that its residents are now enjoying a welcome burst of holiday prosperity.
