The General Directorate of General Security arrested Lebanese citizen (A. A.) on charged of collaborating with terrorist groups.
Following interrogations, he confessed to pledging allegiance to a terrorist organization through a Syrian leader “Abou Bilal al-Homsi,” known to be an activist in spreading the ideology of the group and to recruit people then send them to fight in Syria and Iraq.
The detainee was referred to the concerned judiciary, while work is ongoing in order to arrest other people involved.
