Minister Hakim to LBCI: No one is spared from repercussions of the ongoing regional events

Minister of Economy Alain Hakim said on Thursday that the “crisis in Lebanon is internal and is represented by the political instability which is affecting other issues.”

“The Lebanese people can find a solution for their crisis without any foreign aid,” Hakim said during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show.

On another note, Hakim said that “no one is spared from the repercussions of the ongoing events in the region,” calling on for exercising caution and withstand the rumors and dangers that are expected in Lebanon.

As for the state’s security, he lamented the absence of the head of the state security during the security meeting that took place following the Qaa attacks.

He also stressed that "the dismissal of the head of state security apparatus George Qoraa is out of question for the Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Forces, the Kataeb party and Minister Michel Pharaon."

Answering a question about the Kataeb party’s resignation from the government, Hakim noted that the number of the Kataeb party’s ministers in the government “is not important,” adding that the most important issue is that the party is no longer in the government.

“As for Minister of Labour Sejaan Azzi, he has his own personal reasons that led him to take such a decision,” he concluded by saying.
