Primary public schools’ teachers will go on a 4-day-strike

The Higher Committee for contracting teachers working in primary public schools announced that they will begin a 4-day-strike starting Tuesday April 17 until Friday April 20. The committee said on Monday that a sit-in will be staged on Friday in front of the Grand Serail at 11:30 a.m.

The committee added that the sit-in will be considered as the final step before announcing an open strike as of May 2 if the government and the Ministry of Education continue ignoring the demands of contracting teachers such as raising their teaching hourly wage, paying transportation fees and securing medical and social welfare.
