PSP says decision to keep Beirut slaughterhouse closed has political motives

The Progressive Socialist Party expressed objection over the closure of the public beach in Ramlet al-Bayda and the continuation of works to establish a hospital in Horsh Beirut, noting that “the capital lacks public places, parks and green spaces.”

The party issued a statement whereby it said that Beirut slaughterhouse has become technically ready to be reopened, adding however, that the decision to keep it closed is not related to technicalities but rather driven by political motives.
