Prime Minister Tammam Salam welcomed Saturday Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan's success in prevailing against a coup attempt.
Salam hoped that Turkey would turn over this painful page in a bid to restore its stability and security.
In turn, Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that Turkey’s safety and the protection of the achievements it has accomplished for its own people are a guarantee for all the peoples of the region and the Islamic world in particular.
He also congratulated President Erdogan and the Turkish people for the triumph of the democratic course over the military coup movement.
“This is an occasion to express our solidarity with the Turkish people and our hope that the situation will be back to normal as soon as possible,” he added, praising Erdogan’s success in leading Turkey to a safe harbor.
