Qaa residents hold solidarity sit-in with fallen victims
A solidarity sit-in with the victims of the bombings that took place in the border town of Qaa turned into a national festival with the participation of MP Marwan Fares, Lebanese artists, poets, families of the victims and the town’s residents.
For his part, Qaa head of municipality Bachir Mattar asserted that “with the presence of the Lebanese army, residents of the town do not fear terrorism,” demanding the establishment of a Lebanese army barrack in the town.
Mattar also stressed that the residents do not impose self-security in the town, adding that they rely on the security apparatuses in this regard.
