Majdalani: Majority has no courage to form investigation committee for electricity barges

“The majority does not have the courage to form a parliamentary committee tasked with investigating the issue of electricity-generating barges” Future Movement MP Atef Majdalani said on Friday.

Majdalani told Nharkom Said TV show that the Thursday parliamentary discussions revealed tense positions, adding that speeches delivered by FPM MPs highlighted the spite vented by the movement towards the achievements of late PM Rafik Hariri.

Majdalani confirmed that every MP has the right to cast a vote of no confidence, adding that MP Sami Gemayel requesting a no-confidence motion against the government was needless since the cabinet enjoys parliamentary majority.

In his concluding remarks, Majdalani said the current cabinet is not entrusted with holding the upcoming legislative elections
