Iraqi man freed after being kidnapped in Baalbek

An Iraqi man known as Mohammad Basem Ali al-Bahrani was freed on Monday after being kidnapped in Baalbek one day earlier.

Al-Bahrani was handed over at the Lebanese-Syrian borders in Hermel with the help of Internal Security Forces' Chief Ibrahim Basbous.

The man is still in the custody of a merchant in Baalbek, as further arrangements are being made to have him safely handed over to his family.

Mohammad Basem Ali al-Behrani, 22, was abducted by unknown individuals riding an SUV on Sunday morning in Baalbek’s Soloh neighborhood.
