The Directorate General of General Security declared Friday that details of a bombing operation that targeted a convoy of two Chevrolet “Tahoe” vehicles on Zahle highway in mid-2015 were revealed following investigations conducted by the directorate with Lebanese and Syrian detainees arrested over involvement in the two bombings that took place on Saadnayel road in Zahle on 06/05/2016 and on Ksara roundabout in Zahle on 31/08/2016.
According to the investigations, two Lebanese nationals, identified as Fouad Abdel Mouin Abou Haikal and Bilal Ahmad Kheireddine, were found to be involved. The two suspects are believed to be in Turkey.
In addition, Lebanese detainee (W. A. S.) was also found to be involved as well as another Lebanese man known as “Hodhod,” whose full identity is yet to be unveiled.
