Mikati from Belgium: Our stances would not affect Syria

Prime Minister Najib Mikati, currently on a two-day visit to Belgium, debuted his second day by meeting with Belgian House Speaker Andre Fialho.

Later on Lebanese Premier convened with the President of the Belgian Senate, Sabine de Bethune.

Asked about the Syrian crisis Mikati said “We decided to distance ourselves from the Syrian problem as our political scene is already divided and can’t take more tensions”.

“If we are with the Syrian regime or against our stances would not change anything”.
