Aoun: Authority and minority complement each other in the obstruction of state

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said on Monday that the authority and minority complement each other in the obstruction of state, confirming that this issue should not go unnoticed.

Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, Aoun said that the weapon-laden cargo ship that was recently intercepted is a violation of Lebanon, mainly a moral violation manifested in the usage of the Lebanese territory to send weapons to a brotherly country.

“Those smuggling arms today, are they offering gifts to [brotherly Syria]? Have we lost all sense of logic with the state and some [journalists]?”, Aoun wondered.

Aoun announced that he will call for proportional representation with a single electoral district, adding “let them send the electoral law to the parliament to determine who the obstructing party is?”
