Jumblatt: Supporters of tyrants will regret it later on

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt said on Monday “what we are witnessing today with regards to the electoral law, particularly the proportionality proposal, is nothing more than biddings aiming at muzzling other people’s voices which might not converge on all points with the dominating voice”.        

Jumblatt added that the proportionality system will widen the internal rift and will contribute, in a way or another, to bring back the era of tutelage.           

In his weekly statement to Al Anbaa newspaper, Jumblatt asked “isn’t it better if some absurd forces of the majority humble themselves in order to approach issues with realism instead of daily bidding fairs that do not spare the president and taxes him with having reached his position by consensus? Is this attack based on the fact that he opposed the handover of Syrian refugees or activists to spare them execution or liquidation in their countries or is it aimed at preventing him from expressing his opinion in judicial and administrative appointments?          

Jumblatt said that sooner or later, tyrants will fall, adding “countries and parties supporting them will regret it later on; the Syrian revolution will triumph eventually”.
