Shooting between 2 families in Founeidek kills 2, injures 3

Two people were killed and three injured in Founeidek, Akkar on Wednesday in an exchange of gunfire between the two families of el-Kik and Taleb, also known as al-Tarcha, due to a row over cutting down a tree.

Sources told LBCI that the killed are the sons of Mohammad Ali Taleb, nicknamed al-Tarcha, who is wanted for a number of crimes and misdemeanors. Mohammad was injured and taken to unidentified whereabouts.

It was reported that rifles and rocket propelled grenades were used in the row. Ambulances were seen heading towards the town. The LAF and security forces rushed to the town to restore calm.
