LAF arrests two men involved in Founeidek incident

The LAF arrested Ali Mohammad al-Kik and Mohammad Ali al-Kik in the area of Jabal el-Qmoua , the LAF Directorate of Orientation announced on Thursday.

The two men were involved in the Founeidek incident. Investigations were launched ahead of the two men’s handover to the concerned judiciary.

Two people were killed and three injured in Founeidek, Akkar on Wednesday in an exchange of gunfire between the two families of el-Kik and Taleb, also known as al-Tarcha, due to a row over cutting down a tree.

Sources told LBCI that the killed are the sons of Mohammad Ali Taleb, nicknamed al-Tarcha, who is wanted for a number of crimes and misdemeanors. Mohammad was injured and taken to unidentified whereabouts. It was reported that rifles and rocket propelled grenades were used in the row.
