Maronite Bishops Council calls for swift formation of new government

The Maronite Bishops Council conveyed on Thursday their congratulations to President Michel Aoun for his election, calling on for the swift formation of a new government.

The Council also stressed the importance of drafting a new electoral law that adds “a great value for the lawmaker’s voice,” to enhance development and to battle corruption.

The bishops called the Christians in the region to “rebuild their countries with their Muslim brothers,” urging the International community to put an end for the wars and to find political solutions.
