Israeli maneuvers to prepare for possible attack on Lebanon
Israel carried out training exercises in many regions; the Israeli Civil Defense was trained to face a possible rocket attack against Israel, at a time when Israeli troops were carrying out works along the border with Lebanon to build a separation wall in the town of Kfar Kila.

In the north, the Israeli Army organized maneuvers simulating possible emergency situations along the Blue Line to prepare for a possible assault against Lebanon.

According to a military source, the Israeli Army informed the UNIFIL of these maneuvers to avoid risks stemming from a misunderstanding; meanwhile, the LAF deployed similar troops along the border.

For the second time in less than one week, the Israeli Army is touring the region where the wall is being built. UNIFIL troops were deployed on the border region to avoid frictions between both parties.

The Israeli Army reiterated that building this wall is a security need in light of reports mentioning that Hezbollah members approached the border region that “is witnessing daily clashes on both sides of the border”.
