Maj. Gen. Ibrahim says sectarianism is Lebanon’s biggest threat
Lebanon’s General Security head Major General Abbas Ibrahim said on Saturday that falling into the trap of division through sectarianism is Lebanon’s biggest threat.
He also noted that the election of President Michel Aoun would “restores the balance to the country democratic and parliamentary system."
Ibrahim’s comments were made in a statement on the occasion of the Independence Day.
The General Security chief also lauded the directorate’s and various security agencies’ efforts to defend Lebanon against the Israeli and takfiri threats.
