The censorship apparatuses, including the Central Inspection, Court of Audit, Supreme Disciplinary Commission and the Civil Service Council, are considered non-functional for many reasons.
In his quest to fight corruption, President Michel Aoun stresses the importance of reactivating these apparatuses, deeming them the equipment needed for the fight.
At the Central Inspection, the prerogatives of which include all public administrations, public institutions, independent authorities, municipalities and all employees, whether temporary or permanent, vacant positions represent 60 % of human cadre, which negatively impacts the work of the agency.
