News Intro for Sunday 06-05-2012

Tonight’s bulletin will focus mainly on the elections, municipal elections in Lebanon and presidential elections in France.

On Monday legislative elections will take place in Syria, early legislative elections in Israel in September and Lebanese parliamentarian elections next summer.  
The French presidential election will reveal the name of the head of the Elyse within the upcoming hour, but the Belgium “Le soir” press couldn’t wait and revealed that Francois Holland has won the French election obtaining 52,5% of the votes.  

In Lebanon the municipal by-elections day which witnessed political electoral battle passed calmly while all eyes were focusing on the upcoming on the upcoming elections in 2013.  

The 2013 battle was launched today by MP Walid Jumblatt from Saoufar and former MP Saad Hariri from the Martyr’s square:  

Jumblatt said “They want to take control of the judiciary, the army and the economy, but we will confront them through the ballot boxes” and Hariri added “One crucial year separates us from the parliamentary elections.

In these elections, the Lebanese will clearly say whether they want to continue in the same way, in the deterioration of the economic, security and living conditions”.  

Notably the election’s battle started without a clear electoral law till now but everyone is talking about the proportional electoral law.
