REPORT: Who is the new Minister of Environment Tarek Khatib?

Tarek Khatib was named on Sunday as the new Minister of Environment.

- He is born in Hasrout on 21/10/1959.

- He finished his high school studies in the Ras al-Nabee official school.

- He holds a license from the Lebanese University Faculty of Law.

- He is a barrister.

- He occupies the position of Hasrout head of municipality since 1992 and the vice head of the Federation of Municipalities of Iqlim el Janoubi.

- He is close to President Michel Aoun since the latter was head of a military government.

- He is married with five children.
