Court issues verdicts against 5 Assir supporters
The Military Court issued on Thursday verdicts against five supporters of Salafist cleric Ahmad Assir ranging from three months to a lifetime in prison.
The cases are related to the Abra clashes that took place in 2013 between Assir supporters and the Lebanese Army.
The suspects were accused of belonging to terror organizations and are now in Jezzine prison.
H.Z. was sentenced to three months in prison, M.A. to one year in prison, Kh.B. to three years in prison, Aa.B. to 10 years in prison and M.A. was served a lifetime sentence.
