Aridi: No party is allowed to undermine, sideline PSP
Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi confirmed on Sunday that no one is allowed to undermine, sideline or eliminate the PSP over any electoral law.

“Everything occurring under the umbrella of upcoming elections as well as threats and [intimidating messages] addressed through platforms aim at weakening MP Walid Jumblatt because he represents the lynchpin,” he added.

Commenting on the resistance arms during a political meeting in Baakline, Aridi said “it is not permissible to turn our back on another partner in the country or to consider the issue ‘elastic’”, adding that the internal use of arms is prohibited legally and religiously.

Aridi touched on the Hezbollah leader’ statement regarding the importance of holding elections, saying that “we are looking forward to a political and moral commitment by everyone. Whether we agree on an electoral law or we don’t, we do not want to hear veiled statements on the postponement of elections; let whoever wins shoulder the responsibility of ruling.”
