FM Bassil from Gabon slams failure to draft new vote law

Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil slammed the political parties’ failure to draft a new electoral law for the upcoming parliamentary polls.

“It is such a shame that we, the Lebanese people who defeated the Israeli enemy and terrorism, are failing to agree on an electoral law,” Bassil told the Lebanese Diaspora in Gabon on Monday.

“The Muslim must defend the rights of the Christians and vice versa in order to respect coexistence,” he concluded by saying.
